Position: Food Service Manager at our Rockville location.
Salary: $79,227.20/year
Hours: 40 hours/ week. Varied shifts between 9am-5:30pm, Monday-Sunday.
Duties: manage, supervise and coordinate activities of Catering Staff including servers and kitchen staff. Carry out accounting procedures for the company including monitoring budgets and reviewing financial transactions. Responsible for the organization, logistics of catering events. Hiring, firing supervision and recruitment of temporary staff. Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service or accommodations. Manage relationships with suppliers by scheduling deliveries and verifying contents of deliveries. Supervise equipment and fleet maintenance. Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service. Purchase and maintain food and equipment inventory and keep inventory records. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Fluency in French. References.
Training/Experience: Two (2) years of experience in the job preferred.

Lila Dougly, Events Director
Lila recently joined 42˚ with over twelve years of experience in private dining, catering, and guest relations. A native of France, she offers a distinct perspective that is perfectly suited to our service and our guests. Before joining our team in 2011, Lila worked with the Farmers Restaurant Group for two years as Director of Private Dining, Sales and Banquets where she managed all aspects of the restaurants’ catering and private events. For ten years prior, Lila was a Sales Director at B Smith Restaurant Group, overseeing Catering Sales for the New York, Sag Harbour and Washington, DC locations. While there, she gained experience in large volume private dining, often organizing events for up to 500 guests. Lila has also worked as an Assistant General Manager, managing the opening of a fine dining restaurant that went on to win the Zagat Survey Award in 1999. Lila earned a Bachelors degree in International Business from George Mason University and speaks French fluently. An avid traveler, she hopes to bring her international outlook and industry knowledge to her work at 42˚.
Sebastien Laulan, Head Captain
Sebastien Laulan, born and raised 30 years ago in the Bordeaux area, home to some of the world’s most prestigious wines and foods, brings his unique personal flair to all events he manages. After beginning his career as a teenager in a renowned restaurant in the Bordeaux region called “le Tertre,” he moved to Paris in 2000. For the next five years, he worked his way up to a leadership position in the Cercle de l’Union Interalliée, a historic social and dining club established in 1917 in Paris. The 3,100-member club has many prestigious international members and is frequently used for business conferences by organizations such as the WTO, Bank of England, Wharton Club of Paris, Forbes magazine and Radley College. Sebastien suspended his career for three years to come to the United States to complete his Bachelors in Business Administration and now brings his talent to 42˚.
