Lila Dougly, Events Director
Lila recently joined 42˚ with over twelve years of experience in private dining, catering, and guest relations. A native of France, she offers a distinct perspective that is perfectly suited to our service and our guests. Before joining our team in 2011, Lila worked with the Farmers Restaurant Group for two years as Director of Private Dining, Sales and Banquets where she managed all aspects of the restaurants’ catering and private events. For ten years prior, Lila was a Sales Director at B Smith Restaurant Group, overseeing Catering Sales for the New York, Sag Harbour and Washington, DC locations. While there, she gained experience in large volume private dining, often organizing events for up to 500 guests. Lila has also worked as an Assistant General Manager, managing the opening of a fine dining restaurant that went on to win the Zagat Survey Award in 1999. Lila earned a Bachelors degree in International Business from George Mason University and speaks French fluently. An avid traveler, she hopes to bring her international outlook and industry knowledge to her work at 42˚.

Sebastien Laulan, Head Captain
Sebastien Laulan, born and raised 30 years ago in the Bordeaux area, home to some of the world’s most prestigious wines and foods, brings his unique personal flair to all events he manages.  After beginning his career as a teenager in a renowned restaurant in the Bordeaux region called “le Tertre,” he moved to Paris in 2000.  For the next five years, he worked his way up to a leadership position in the Cercle de l’Union Interalliée, a historic social and dining club established in 1917 in Paris.  The 3,100-member club has many prestigious international members and is frequently used for business conferences by organizations such as the WTO, Bank of England, Wharton Club of Paris, Forbes magazine and Radley College.  Sebastien suspended his career for three years to come to the United States to complete his Bachelors in Business Administration and now brings his talent to 42˚.

Martine Archambault, Event Coordinator
Martine was born and raised in Corsica, a French island in the Mediterranean. After graduating from high school, she moved to Paris to attend culinary school at the École Supérieure de Cuisine Française – Ferrandi. In her three years there, Martine further developed her passion for the culinary arts through instruction from some of the country’s best chefs. After finishing culinary school, she worked in several French bistros, including Restaurant Gérard Besson, Pavillon Ledoyen, and La Cantine des Gourmets. She was also a chef at Le Parc Aux Cerfs, in Paris, and 10 Rue Napoléon, in Bastia. In 2008, Martine and her husband moved to Los Angeles, where she was the private chef for a high-profile entertainment industry family for several years. She recently arrived in the Washington, D.C., area and now serves as Event Coordinator for 42° Catering.
